Hello!! I think the first two weeks of school have gone very well. The kids, as well as the teachers, are getting back in the swing of school again. I am looking forward to a fantastic 6 weeks.
In Math we are working on addition and subtraction up to 20. We will begin timed test soon. Please be sure to be practicing these. In Science we are working on our Process Skills such as observing, communicating, and classifying. We will follow that with things that change physical properties of an object such as folding, cutting, sanding, melting, and cooling. In Social Studies we have been discussing character traits that make up a good citizen in school as well as in the community. This week we will begin map skills including map keys, symbols, and directions on a compass rose.
Progress reports will be coming home next week. Remember in Science and Social Studies we take a grade a week so there are only 6 grades.
